Groombridge WI meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at 8 pm, usually in the Groombridge Village Hall.
Our meetings are great fun, really varied and our annual calendar is developed in response to our members' interests. We always have a selection of delicious sweet and savoury treats provided by a rota of members, and we serve tea, coffee, red & white wine and soft drinks. We have members of all ages from the village & surrounding areas and new members are always welcome. So whether you have lived here for years or are new to the area, come and join in, we'd love to see you!
In addition to our monthly meetings we have two special interest groups: Pins & Needles Craft Group and Book Club. For more details click on the appropriate group from the menu bar.
Next Meeting: 8pm Thursday 22 November: Christmas Crafts and AGM
At our November meeting we will host our AGM when we will review the year and ask our members to elect our Officers and Committee for 2019.
Members can also consider paying their Subs early in the knowledge that they are all paid up for 2019 and a programme of events will be available for 2019.
Members will shortly be sent information on the voting procedure for the AGM.
Information about the voting procedure to elect Officers and Committee at the AGM will be sent out shortly. Many hands make light work so please do think about joining our enthusiastic committee in 2019.
Following the formal WI business, we will again have a selection of great evening featuring Christmas Craft 'Stations' where you will get a chance to try a few different festive activities and be able to create something to take away with you.
Mince pies and mulled wine will get us into the festive spirit.
We'll open the doors at 7.45pm to give you a chance to grab a cup of tea or wine and get started by 8pm.
