Groombridge WI meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at 8 pm, usually in the Groombridge Village Hall.
Our meetings are great fun, really varied and our annual calendar is developed in response to our members' interests. We always have a selection of delicious sweet and savoury treats provided by a rota of members, and we serve tea, coffee, red & white wine and soft drinks. We have members of all ages from the village & surrounding areas and new members are always welcome. So whether you have lived here for years or are new to the area, come and join in, we'd love to see you!
In addition to our monthly meetings we have two special interest groups: Pins & Needles Craft Group and Book Club. For more details click on the appropriate group from the menu bar.
Next Meeting: 8pm Thursday 27th September:
STOP PRESS - CHANGE OF SPEAKER
We’re sorry to report that Steve Woods has had a diary mix up and is hugely sorry not to be able to come along to lead us in an evening of singing.
However, all is not lost and we are thrilled that Fern Lulham is able to join us at short notice.
Fern is a motivational and educational speaker, who trains, inspires and coaches others to live a more fulfilling, confident and happy life.
She is a lady with a voice as powerful as her message. With a background in radio broadcasting, a love of entertaining and a huge amount of personality, Fern can speak with humour, sarcasm and captivating sincerity all at the same time.
Fern has come up against a number of challenges throughout life and is constantly accepting and overcoming new ones thereby gaining a deeper understanding of people and of what makes them tick. Believing strongly in the idea that our emotions unite us, no matter what differences there appear to be on the surface, Fern encourages others to dig deep and to explore themselves and those around them in new and empowering ways. This can allow people to form unique bonds with others and to see life through the eyes of those they never thought they could truly understand.
So come along and enjoy an entertaining and uplifting evening.
We'll open the doors at 7.45pm to give you a chance to grab a cup of tea or wine and get started by 8pm. We look forward to seeing as many people as possible, whether members or visitors.
