Groombridge WI meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at 8 pm, usually in the Groombridge Village Hall.
Our meetings are great fun, really varied and our annual calendar is developed in response to our members' interests. We always have a selection of delicious sweet and savoury treats provided by a rota of members, and we serve tea, coffee, red & white wine and soft drinks. We have members of all ages from the village & surrounding areas and new members are always welcome. So whether you have lived here for years or are new to the area, come and join in, we'd love to see you!
In addition to our monthly meetings we have three special interest groups: Pins & Needles Craft Group, Book Club and the all new Groombridge Galloping Gourmets group. For more details click on the appropriate group from the menu bar.
Next Meeting: 7.45pm Thursday 28th June
June's Jolly Japes
This month we are heading to the Ashdown Forest for a Midsummer Evening's walk and hopefully we'll get to hear and spot nightjars.
If you would prefer to make your own way there, please feel free to do so. Details of where to get to and at what time will be forwarded to you in good time. At the moment we believe our meeting point will be the Long Car Park opposite the Llama Park but that might change. We will advise any change nearer the time.
Prefer to car share? Meet at the Groombridge Village Hall Car Park at 8.00pm for 8.15pm departure. We aim to be up on the Forest at 9.00pm.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to tell us if you would like to car share or intend to make your own way to the Long Car Park.
The Friends of the Ashdown Forest are keen to know how many will be attending so they know how many volunteers to bring along.
