Groombridge WI meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at 8 pm, usually in the Groombridge Village Hall.
Our meetings are great fun, really varied and our annual calendar is developed in response to our members' interests. We always have a selection of delicious sweet and savoury treats provided by a rota of members, and we serve tea, coffee, red & white wine and soft drinks. We have around 100 members of all ages from the village & surrounding areas and new members are always welcome. So whether you have lived here for years or are new to the area, come and join in, we'd love to see you!
In addition to our monthly meetings we have three special interest groups: Pins & Needles Craft Group, Book Club and the all new Groombridge Galloping Gourmets group. For more details click on the appropriate group from the menu bar.
Next Meeting: 7.45pm Thursday 22nd March
March will be an OPEN meeting when we welcome David Barratt of All About Home Care.
David, a Dementia Champion, will be running a session for us all to learn more about what it is like to live with dementia and turn that understanding into action.
The Committee felt this would be of huge benefit to our community so please invite your friends or family members to join you.
A guest fee of £5 will apply which includes a cup of tea or coffee or glass of wine and nibbles plus the talk and your qualification as a dementia friend. Doors open at 7.45pm.
Please contact Sarah Merriman at email@example.com to confirm your attendance, for catering purposes. Numbers are limited.
